How you plan your day is essential to stay focused, organized and motivated.
Unsure where to startš¤·š½āāļø??
Here are 7 tips to increase your productivity with reminders and tips that will help you decide on your daily task list. Maintain a healthy work-life balance, and track your progress. #TheHabitReset
1ļøā£ Focus on 2-3 Tasks per day
Seeing a handful of big projects on our calendar can be stressfulā¦ but if you break it up into smaller tasks, youāll feel more in control and will be much more productive. Rather than write down "finish project," break that into all the tasks it will take. This will keep you on track in your day-to-day and make the bigger projects seem less daunting.
2ļøā£ Prioritize the Biggest Task First
We all sometimes push aside big goals because weāre not confident weāll accomplish themā¦ And by the time we get to them, weāre too burned out from our day to give it the attention it needs. By tackling the biggest tasks first thing in your day, you will feel more accomplished and increase your productivity through the rest of the day.
3ļøā£ Work in 30-45 Minute Blocks
You might think working longer hours means youāre getting more done, but you never work as well when youāre burned out. Taking regular breaks helps improve concentration and boosts your mood. Work in a 30-45 minute block, then take a five-minute stretch, water break, or spend 15 minutes grabbing that mid-afternoon healthy snack or take a walk around the house or office.
4ļøā£ Eliminate Distractions
Willpower is overrated. If something distracts you, eliminate it. If you have a social or TV addiction. Make sure the TV and your phone is OFF. Just for that focused time block, turn off all outside communications and give yourself the necessary luxury of undisturbed time to really focus on the matter at hand. Donāt think youāre immune to your distractions. Remove them completely.
5ļøā£ Stop Multitasking
'Multitasking is not humanly possible.'
It can be tempting to want to take care of a few tasks at once, especially if they seem small or easy. But it simply doesnāt work. Youāre fooling yourself when you say you can easily juggle phone calls, presentations, and eating lunch. Focus on ONE TASK AT A TIME, and youāll actually end up completing it faster.
6ļøā£ Eat more superfoods
Adequate nutrition can raise your productivity levels by 20 percent on average. You'll be better able to focus and accomplish tasks when you've eaten properly.
Some superfoods to enjoy: salmon, berries, leafy greens, nuts & seeds, avocados, green tea, and DRINK MORE WATER
7ļøā£ Exercise Daily
Exercise gives you more energy and stops the afternoon fatigue slump. It keeps momentum and it improves your mental capacity. Exercise naturally reduces stress, combats fatigue, improves performance and leads to fewer sick days. With exercise your sleep quality also improves, helping you wake rested and ready to tackle another day.
BONUS: PLAN AHEAD
By planning your days the night before you reduce decision fatigue, and preserve your willpower for your deepest most meaningful work.
Take 10 minutes before bed review your present day then look over the next dayās commitments. Decide what youāll do first and WRITE IT DOWN in your planner.
